Today is September 9, and every year on this day FASD (fetal alcohol spectrum disorder) is observed. It is one of the most misdiagnosed and under-diagnosed disorder but it is 100% preventable! All mothers have to do is abstain from alcohol for 9 months. A close family friend adopted twin boys from a different country who both suffer from this disorder. It has taken a tole on their family's lives. I have seen the struggles she has gone threw raising these children and I don't think anyone is more capable of it then her. She is a very very strong person. It is a very serious thing, and I have definitely seen this when I have watched them a few times.
